You can use a hot tub if you are pregnant, but medical experts recommend sticking to 10 minutes max each time and lowering the water temperature. If you are pregnant and considering soaking in a spa, consult with your doctor first.
How Often Should I Drain and Clean My Hot Tub?
We recommend draining your hot tub completely three or four times each year. It’s not complicated, and it only takes about an hour to get the water out. So that’s only four hours a year to keep your hot tub safe and clean. If you need help with draining, cleaning and refilling your hot tub, contact our spa service department today.
How Often Should I Test and Clean My Hot Tub Water?
If your hot tub is getting a lot of use, you should test it every 3-4 days. This includes checking the water for cloudiness, discoloration of the water, or filmy residue on the surface of the water. You should also use test strips to check the water’s chemical levels. You will need to test the following:
- Bromine or chlorine
- Calcium hardness
- pH levels
Water two hours after adding each chemical to the water. This will prevent negative chemical reactions.
